Creating technology programs for students and teachers using
technology as a springboard for life lessons – allowing
students to see "outside the box" and seeing opportunities
in their future. R3 Center programs are fun and engaging for students
of all ages.
R3 Center, a not-for-profit
organization, was founded in 2001 by Mickey
Richardson, a.k.a. MickeyLive, one of the industry's
premier creative software trainers. A firm believer in providing
children with professional tools at a younger age, R3 Center focuses
on training grades 5-12.
R3 Center believes technology is a tool for life. R3's
problem-solution environment inspires children to look to the
future.
R3
Center launched The Weekend Project in the fall
of 2002. The goal of this program was to introduce children to
new technologies with a summer-camp-like experience yet lasting
just a weekend. The Weekend Project sold out at each offering
due to high interest and demand for this educational technology
program.
In
2004, R3 Center expanded its reach with the purchase of a 50-foot
tractor trailer. Originally used as a mobile eye surgery lab,
the trailer was converted into a state-of-the-art mobile computer
lab. Working with architects from Ken Shireman and Associates
of Fayetteville, AR, the trailer quickly earned its name TechTank
which now serves as just one of R3's high-tech mobile
technology labs. Since inception, R3 had reached over
4,000 different students in grades 5-12.
Mickey Richardson continues to inspire children as well as those
in the high-tech industry as Founder of R3
Media Group, Inc.
R3 Media Group, Inc.
carries this same passion combined with consumer electronics
marketing and training initiatives by combining R3's
TechTank programs with retail outreach.
